The Starstreet Precinct “Recycle Your Bottles” initiative collected around 1,700 PET plastic bottles through 16 temporary collection points across Admiralty and Wan Chai. The bottles were cleaned and processed into plastic filament, which was then used for 3D printing by local studio to create distinctive festive decorations
for the area. These installations included the Chandelier Spiral Christmas Tree and the “Snowball” — a large spherical structure filled with smaller, intricately designed snowflake elements. Each piece was produced using 3D printing technology, demonstrating how recycled materials can be transformed into something both practical and visually engaging.

Reborn in Bloom
Made from 100% locally recycled plastic bottle caps, each piece is defined by a carefully controlled colour tone achieved through detailed pre-sorting—one of the most demanding stages of the process. Colours are selected and balanced from a mix of caps, where even slight contamination from darker tones can affect
the final result. As the recycled plastic flows and settles within the mould, it creates a natural marbled effect before cooling and solidifying. The outcome is a series of pieces with distinct patterns, each shaped by the movement of the material itself.
